Nordic Edge, Shanghai Smart City Development Institute’s friendly cooperation institution, will the 2021 Nordic Edge Expo in Stavanger, the fourth largest city in Norway, from 20^th - 23^th  September. The Nordic Edge Expo was initiated by Stavanger in 2015 and has gained great supports from Nordic Innovation and European Union institutes and become one of the most important professional exchange conferences for smart cities in Europe.

In September 2020, our institute participated in the Nordic Edge Expo and served as one organizer of its important forum Nordic Green Smart City Forum, which promoted exchanges and cooperation between Nordic companies and Shanghai companies.

The UN 2030 Sustainable Development Goals cannot be achieved without global participation and change. For this purpose, this year’s conference programme’s theme is “It’s Tomorrow” and four topics are Come Clean (Energy), On the Move (Mobility), Spaces and Places (Sustainable Buildings & Urban Planning) and Life Actually (Citizen Involvement). During the four–day conference programme, the conference will invite speakers from governments, well-known universities and institutes and leading enterprises across the Nordic to talk and discuss potential chances and challenges in future to build a global smart city ecological cooperation system and create a more sustainable tomorrow for all. Nordic Edge was established in Stavanger in Norway in 2015 and is a private non-profit organisation, aiming to promote and provide solutions for building smart cities and smart communities. It holds Nordic Edge Expo in Stavanger every September, which has been held for 6 consecutive sessions and grown into one of the most important professional exchange conferences for smart cities in Europe.
